Hilary Baude

In 2025, Hilary plans to compete in the Source to City race as part of the Renal Warriors team, which includes 12 kidney donors and recipients. The event begins at the source of the Hudson River in Lake Placid, NY, and ends in Manhattan, with each participant completing 35 miles on foot, 260 miles on bike, and 21 miles via kayak over five days.

In 2024, the Renal Warriors completed the Wild West Relay, a 200-mile journey through the Rocky Mountains consisting of 16,000 feet of climbing at elevations of two miles above sea level. In 2023, Hilary participated in the 1K12M (1 Kidney 12 Marathons) challenge, completing 10 marathons and two Ironmans in less than 10 months.

Donor Story: In May 2021, Hilary Baude donated her kidney to a stranger through the National Kidney Registry’s Standard Voucher Program.

Personal: Hilary lives in Waterford, CT, with her husband and two young daughters. She is a kindergarten teacher, and recently earned her doctorate in educational leadership with a focus on social justice and social-emotional learning. She was an NCAA Division 1 swimmer and has run 23 marathons and three Ironmans to date.
